The plot draws heavy inspiration from Marco Polo and his journey through Asia, setting many plot points along the way.
Set to pieces, characters, graphics and gameplay, with widespread critical success, huge acclaim on the game’s storyline, it was named as the most critically acclaimed game of 2009 by Metacritic, and IGN, Eurogamer, on the game Won Game of the Year award. For the year 2009, Informer, Joistik, Kotaku, Giant Bomb, AIAS, X-Play, Game Developers’ Choice Awards and Spike Video Game Awards are widely regarded as one of the greatest video games of all time. The game has also been a commercial success since selling 6 million copies worldwide.
